Where is Cornell University located? How do I get to the undergraduate campus? How far is Cornell from New York City?

Cornell is located in Ithaca, a beautiful city in New York. Freshman are provided housing on campus(at North Campus). Ithaca is a 5 hour shortline bus ride from New York City. Shortline bus schedule: bit.ly/TzN27T. You can also take the Campus-to-Campus bus service.

How safe is the campus?

The campus is very safe with a dedicated campus police and special services like blue-light phones all over campus for emergency situations.

What are the winters like?

 

The winters at Cornell are quite severe and convert the campus into a white wonderland that is to stay. Appropriate clothing and gear is a must.
